  California Cryobank’s newborn stem cell business has undergone a number of name changes as it has grown over the years. Uniting with CBR is the latest evolution of our newborn stem cell brand. Scientific excellence and commitment to customer service has been a hallmark of California Cryobank for over 40 years and will continue to be our focus as we welcome CBR to the family. The FamilyCord name/brand will be combined with CBR to create CBR, a California Cryobank company. California Cryobank's executive team will be joined by key members of the existing CBR leadership to oversee the combined organization.

• Will the price and products offered change? What about the quality of service?

  CBR has always been committed to providing the highest quality for our families. Combining our two best-in-class organizations will allow us to further improve our products and services. Prices and information about our services can now be found at cordblood.com. If you have already received a special price offer from FamilyCord, that price will remain valid. • What will happen to my stored stem cells?

  Your newborn cord blood and cord tissue stem cell unit(s) will be safely stored at our lab in Tucson, AZ. If that should change, we will notify you in advance.

• I am a FamilyCord client. How do I renew my storage account?

  You will receive a storage renewal notice prior to your renewal due date with instructions and payment options. You can also call us at any time.

• I am a FamilyCord client. How do I update my contact info?

  For the time being, please continue to call our main phone number 800-490-2673. You can check back on dmrgy.nbomb2017.com in the future to see if our phone number has changed.

• What do I do if I am currently enrolled with FamilyCord and I have received a FamilyCord kit?

  Clients who have already enrolled don’t have to re-enroll or sign a new contract. When the big day arrives, you will take the FamilyCord collection kit you already received with you to the hospital and follow the instructions in the kit. You will receive confirmation once your kit arrives at our lab in Los Angeles, CA, where your newborn cord blood/tissue unit(s) will be processed and safely stored. In the meantime, if you have questions, please call a Newborn Stem Cell Educator at 800-490-2673.

• What do I do if I am currently enrolled with FamilyCord but I have not received a FamilyCord kit?

  Clients who have already enrolled don’t have to re-enroll or sign a new contract. Within the next few weeks you will receive a FamilyCord collection kit. When the big day arrives, you will take the collection kit with you to the hospital and follow the included instructions. You will receive confirmation once your kit arrives at our lab in Los Angeles, CA, where your newborn cord blood/tissue unit(s) will be processed and safely stored. In the meantime, if you have questions, please call a Newborn Stem Cell Educator at 800-490-2673.

• My due date is coming soon and I have a FamilyCord kit. Can I still use it?

  Yes, when the big day arrives, you will take the FamilyCord kit you already received with you to the hospital and follow the instructions in the kit.   Yes. California Cryobank sperm and egg clients still receive free cord blood processing ($1,500 value).

• I’m a CorCell client and am concerned about this change in ownership. Should I worry about company stability?

  No. California Cryobank has been in business for over 40 years and continues to operate as usual. CBR is joining the California Cryobank family and we are combining the FamilyCord brand (California Cryobank’s newborn stem cell brand) with the CBR brand.
